(133) WINERY IN SAMANIEGO. 2013

The new Benjamin Rothschild & Vega Sicilia winery design makes the most of the topography of the site, proposing a descending linear system adapting to the traditional winemaking process, and is articulated starting from a series of interconnected courtyards that follow a diagonal axis. The château, higher up on the site, harbors private uses and preserves the elements of the winery: like the cloisters of monasteries, it is divided into rooms of the same size around a central courtyard.
