(130) DOME OF WINE. 2010

(130) DOME OF WINE. 2010

The proposed building is inserted in the assigned site along the Duero's riverbank like a land art scheme. It takes the repetition of lines found in vineyards as a key element and applies it to the structure and spatial organization of the place. The Dome of Wine is a basic structure, an 86 meter long square floorplan with a square courtyard inside. The building is almost an abstraction of those medieval monasteries which discreetly kept the wisdom of wine production, but retaining an industrial character.
