(083) LALÍN CITY HALL. 2005-2011

The new building for the City Council of Lalin is an open structure which establishes a dialogue with the environment, favoring expansiveness over compact spaces. The building is formalized with a master volume, consisting of a basement with two floors topped by a four-storey cylindrical volume. Inside, the hall is organized around a set of circular cells harboring the various uses. These functional cells are organized as separate elements grouped into larger circular structures. The building may be accessed through a large circular atrium located on the southern corner of the site, which opens to the Plaza de Galicia.
