(058) BARRIÉ FOUNDATION. 2003-2006

The Pedro Barrie de la Maza Foundation is located inside a 1919 building designed by the Vigo-based architect Manuel Gómez Román. The building's interior design tries to solve the functional program giving a contemporary response from ‘functional flexibility and versatility’ criteria. The ground floor is designed as a multipurpose space that can be transformed using hi-tech theatrical technology. The two multipurpose exhibition floors are equipped with a programmable luminous ceiling. The fourth floor holds the meeting hall. It is equipped with a stage mechanism to stock the seating raising them over the room. The chairs are lowered depending on the intended capacity.
