(034) EL AGUILA. 1996-2002

The Madrid Regional Government Archives and Library in the former El Águila brewery is a documental centre whose objectives are the preservation, custody and dissemination of the historic documentary heritage. The Regional Archive, with an area of 30,000 m², is organized into three modules: contributions, storage and public attention. The storage building can hold 100 km of shelves. The Regional Library, with an area of 10,000 m², solves a diverse multimedia library program through the renovation of the different industrial spaces; silos that used to hold barley now hold every book published in the Community of Madrid.
