(024) SWIMMING CENTRE. 1994-1998

The San Fernando de Henares Swimming Center completes an existing municipal sports facility. The set is developed along Paseo de los Pinos, near the Henares River. The Swimming Centre is organized according to a linear structure, and its different compositive elements are arranged as a succession: lobby, changing rooms and amenities core, instruction vessel and multipurpose vessel. The facade is constructed as a basket of stacked precast concrete girders. The nearby trees can be seen from the pool’s interior.
